A dream vacation for any angler. From the fishing and guides, to the resort staff, the food, the accommodations, the scenery and the vacation massage, it simply cannot be beat. We were there for just over 2 weeks and could have just stayed forever!

From start to finish, the El Pescador team made planning my meeting smooth and efficient. Our clients loved every minute -- from massages to Mayan sites. They had a ball and we looked really good!

You have a great staff. They provide the feeling of a bed & breakfast in a resort setting.

Let me begin by saying that my trip to El Pescador was wonderful! Your facility and staff are first class. It is not often that I find the entire staff so courteous and accommodating. You should take great pride in El Pescador. Once again, thank you for a great time, I will be back.

El Pescador has carved out a real niche for itself. Its combination of comfortable and gracious living in a totally relaxed, outdoor setting is unique and has a charm all its own. When asked by Steve for our suggestions about how to make it better, we were hard pressed to come up with anything substantive. I don't know whether you embrace all of your guests as you did our little family, but we felt as though we were being welcomed into a wonderfully warm, interesting and entertaining family that we were only too happy to be adopted by.

Why would anyone stay anywhere else?

Thank you for making our first trip to Belize most memorable. Your organizational skills are outstanding – we were very impressed from the moment we stepped off the plane. The trips the wives went on while the men fished far exceeded expectations. They were most informative with very knowledgeable guides. Lastly, we cannot thank you enough for the friendliness of your staff and management – everyone from housekeeping, dining, etc. Hope to be back and bring the whole family.

El Pescador was the perfect place for our annual meeting. They were able to host 30 of us comfortably, with great diving and fishing in the mornings and meetings in the afternoons. The facilities were great, the setting ideal, and the service first-rate. The meeting was a huge success!

Our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our recent 3 day stay at El Pescador. The graciousness and friendliness of the staff truly exceeded expectations. None of us had ever much more than seen a fly rod much less cast one, but between the Orvis help in planning and your guides help in executing, we actually caught fish and learned quite a bit about this type of sport fishing as we progressed. It was really fun. When we return with our group next year we'll continue to work on our fly fishing skills, but we'll be sure to try some of the other activities too - such as snorkeling, inner tubing and exploring. I might add that the weather couldn't have been better. Everything was quite splendid.

I am not usually in the habit of contacting holiday destinations upon my return to the UK, but I thought I would make an exception here to thank you and your staff for making my week so enjoyable. The organization of every aspect of the holiday was excellent, and the atmosphere at the lodge relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. I came to El Pescador to fish for saltwater species for the first time, and found the fishing absorbing and as exciting as anything I can remember...

We came to El Pescador for the first time in 1986. We found the then-owners warm and eager to offer their amazing fishery and create an experience for anglers and their families that would be meaningful. When the Gentry family took over 20 years ago, they built on this tradition of creating a welcoming "home away from home" experience for serious anglers and adventure travelers, as well as adding many amenities - villa accommodations, pools, etc. It goes without saying that we love El Pescador, as we have just completed our 20th consecutive trip. More importantly, this was our best trip ever!!

I have had the good fortune to travel all over the world to fish and hunt and have never experienced better hospitality or a place as well run as El Pescador. The staff was helpful, friendly and polite. The room, food and drinks were excellent. El Pescador is an understated, delightful environment. It is unique in that there are so many activities besides fishing. Everything is low key...just there for the asking.

My trip to El Pescador gave me the perfect opportunity to "double dip"! I no longer need to choose between a great fishing vacation for myself or a wonderful family vacation. Although I chose El Pescador because it is known first and foremost as a world-class fishing destination, they go out of their way to cater to the non-angling guest. They offer free use of kayaks and bicycles for exploring the Caye and offer trips to snorkel and dive, explore Maya ruins, zip lining, etc. We'll be back!

Belize offers the fly fisherman an exciting variety of opportunities for flats species and El Pescador has been a great host/lodge for decades. They know how to serve fly fishermen. Belize is easy to get to and best of all everyone speaks English.
